Data science and artificial intelligence (AI) are key drivers of innovation and transformation in the digitalized world. By analyzing and processing a wide range of data, they enable intelligent solutions in areas such as Industry 4.0, IoT, smart cities, energy and environmental management. These approaches promote innovation and provide effective answers to social, ecological and health challenges.
The cooperation between the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences, the Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences, the Paris Lodron University of Salzburg, the University for Continuing Education Krems, the Digital Factory Vorarlberg and the AIT Austrian Institute of Technology demonstrates Austria’s strong scientific presence and the great commitment to jointly build an international community of science, research and business.
Data science and artificial intelligence are still a new field that requires attention and targeted research. Effective data science can only be achieved in a broad and diverse discourse – when data science experts work closely with experts from application domains and when natural scientists exchange opinions and methods with engineers and economists.
